Alicante's coves, clear water and understated village charm
North of Alicante, the coastline breaks into a string of pine-covered headlands, hidden coves and small harbour towns that has quietly become one of Spain's most consistent property markets. Jávea, Calpe and Moraira offer a slower, more residential alternative to the bigger southern resorts, with the dramatic Peñón de Ifach as the area's unmistakable landmark.

Golf, sailing and a well-developed international-resident infrastructure add to the area's long-term appeal.
More than 200 beaches and coves punctuate this stretch of coast, from the long sandy Arenal in Jávea to countless small calas only reachable by boat or coastal path. The pace is markedly calmer than further south: think marina lunches, coastal walking trails and locally grown produce rather than nightlife.
